SEED STITCH PONCHO
I have started to knit a wool poncho (for those chilly winter days in the Kootenays) I am using the EMF/wool blend yarn that I spun recently. I spun the yarn to a Worsted weight (approx) After I spun the yarn, I dyed each skein using plant dyes.
Using a DK weight handspun yarn, Cast on 96 stitches onto circular needles.
Knit 4 rows in Knit Stitch.
Place 2 Stitch Markers
1 at the beginning of the row
1 in the middle of the row.
I didn’t have any fancy knitting markers so I used short pieces of coloured wool as Stitch Markers.
Stitch increases are knit on every other row.
Increase a stitch, knit 2 stitches, Increase a 2nd stitch.
