A free pattern for knitting a Christmas stocking using handspun yarns.
| Christmas stockings are fun to knit because you don’t have to be exact on the size, you can use up leftover yarns and you only need to make one. For this stocking I used handspun yarns. |

Starting with a Red coloured yarn, Cast on 55 stitches or adjust to the desired size.
Width at Top:8 inches Length to Heel:12 inches Total Length:17 inches. |

The Heel of the Sock
Knit in patterns until the leg of the sock measures 10-12 inches. Turning the heel:
Start the turning on the heel on the right side of the work. Change yarn to Dark Blue. Decrease at the gusset of the sock:
Continue knitting in pattern motifs until the foot of the sock measures 3-4 |
