Waxed Linen Thread
When sewing with Linen thread I like to wax it first with a bit of beeswax.
Run the cut length of thread through a beeswax block a few times before threading the needle. I find that this gives the linen a smoother surface and makes it easier to sew through the reindeer leather.
The reindeer leather is stitched using a Leather Glovers needle and waxed Linen thread.
Working from the back of the bracelet fold and pinch the edges of the reindeer leather so that they meet in the middle of the bracelet.
Secure the top edge together with a few stitches through both the top and bottom layers of the leather.
I am using a stitch that is similar to a Baseball Stitch and is used to join the 2 ends of the folded reindeer leather together.
Working from the Left hand side of the leather, Push the needle through the bottom of the reindeer leather to the top surface.
Cross the needle over to the Right hand side and push the needle from the bottom of the reindeer leather to the top surface.
Pull the thread through the leather.
Cross over to the Left side and repeat the stitching.
Work your way down the seam, pinching the leather together as you stitch.Secure the end of the bracelet by sewing a few stitches through both the back and front of the bracelet.
