Knitted Noro Yarn Cowl
I generally like to knit myself a new hat for the upcoming winter months. This time I thought that I would knit a cowl instead. I found a pattern in one of my Noro Yarn knitting books. I have simplified the pattern design as I am quite happy with the colour combinations of the Noro Ito yarn that I have, and don’t wish to mix it with other colour shades of Noro.
The book that I found the pattern in is:
Noro Kureyon – The 30th Anniversary Collection
The Cowl pattern is called ‘The Electric Slip’ designed by Caroline Dick, p46.
AMAZON BOOKS: Noro Knitting Pattern Books
I am using Noro Ito yarn for this project, rather than the recommended Noro Kureyon yarn. I find that the Noro Ito yarns are a bit softer than the Kureyon. I suppose the Ito yarns are spun from a different breed of sheep fleece.
The pattern uses a size 8 (5 mm) circular needle. 24″ or 60 cm length.
I prefer to knit a bit more loosely, so I am using a 5.5 mm needle.
