You Tube for Kids –
My grandchildren have seen some of my YouTube videos and liked them. So they asked if I could make a YouTube Channel for Kids – so they can watch them too.
I thought that might be a worthwhile project to do. Most children (both younger and older) these days don’t seem to have much of a chance to do crafts. The parents are too busy working and I’m not sure that most schools don’t have the skillset either to teach handicrafts.
From my observations of my grandchildren and others, the children are given an IPad and a Kids YouTube account. I don’t blame the parents and I totally understand their busy and complex life trying to juggle home, work, travel and other things. I remember how difficult it was for me when I was working and had young children to look after. It’s hard
So perhaps it is up to the grandparents to do what they can to teach the younger ones. It is the younger ones that will need to know how to make, do and mend. And that animals such as sheep are useful for both food and clothing. That trees and plants provide us with food, medicines and the wonderful colours from nature as well as the air to breathe – both oxygen and carbon dioxide.
So over the coming weeks, I will go through my current YouTube videos and update them a bit for a younger audience. And I will also start to make more content I think they might like. I am sure that my grandchildren will be giving me lots of feedback..
