“I would like to learn about weaving. Where do I begin?” is a question that often arrives in my mailbox.
The Net is a great starting place to begin to explore this topic – beginning with this site.
We also offer a place to visit on Facebook, where you can post messages, ask questions or are looking for or wish to sell equipment or supplies.
If you are looking for a particular type of yarn, or a loom to buy, check in our library
I am on the constant lookout for new additions to add to our library, so if you come across an interesting site, please let me know. I also write feature articles about various weaving topics with related links to sites I’ve found on the Net.
Another great way to keep in touch with the weaving community, is to subscribe to one (or more) of the mailing lists. The “Weaving List” is a favourite of mine with lots of helpful and lively discussions.
There are lots of other fiber related mailing lists as well.
Teachers
I am compiling a list of instructors who are able to give lessons, both privately and to larger groups.
