I like to use this simple but versatile pattern for knitting hats with my handspun yarns. It works for just about any size and thickness of yarn. You will need to knit a test swatch first.

This hat was knit using a 3 ply yarn.
1 ply – white Romney
1 ply – Grey wool (breed unknown – local)
1 ply – French angora
