TrainingMA Masters Degree in Textile Design, University of Minneosta. I have been teaching weaving for 30 years at the University of Montana and design classes at Cal Poly in California. I teach in my studio and I travel to teach. I have studied primarily in the areas of tapestry, color and design and Swedish weaving. I am Swedish American and I am very interested in my heritage. I have done research in Minnesota on the looms made by Scandinavian immigrants and the weaving done by immigrants. I have traveled several time to Sweden to study weaving and the Swedish language. I have studied the dräll weaves, the art weaves and rag rug weaving. Drawloom weaving is another interest and I have woven on drawlooms in Sweden
WeavingIn my studio I teach beginning weavers as well as those who are interested in learning something specific. I have a drawloom set up for teaching drawloom weaving. I have 7 other new floor looms, some with warps ready to weave on. I also keep warps on four table looms for teaching various weave structures. I have a tapestry loom set up for tapestry classes.
I also travel to teach. My workshops and seminars are listed on my webpage. I teach tapestry workshops and Swedish weaving including rag rug techniques, Swedish linen or dräll weaves and the Swedish art weaves among others. I teach most every spring and fall at an art center in Minnesota, where we have floor looms and table looms available.

I live in the foothills of the Elkhorn Mountains in Montana, between Yellowstone National Park and Glacier National Park. If you are in the area, please do plan on stopping by for a visit and a tour of the studio. I live in Montana City, just south of Helena, Montana's capital.
