Cardboard Box Loom - Twill Variation 2

Twill is a very versatile weave structure, and you will find many variations in twill design. By changing the direction of the pickup, the diagonals will change to the right or to the left.

On a 4 shaft loom, the weaving draft for this twill design would look like this:

Twills can also be woven by changing the number of threads that are picked up. You can weave 2,1 twills, picking up threads 1 and 2, lowering only 1, and pickup up the next 2.

Try to invent some of your own twill designs by changing the number of threads that you pick up or lower, or by reversing the direction.
